My Baptism

I wanted to have my baptism when I was 6, but I had to wait until I was 8 , so that I can understand why we are doing it.

I had to go to church to put on my baptism dress.  It was white with flowers on.  It was lovely and made me feel really good because I felt like I was finally about to get baptised.

We had an opening song I am a Child of God.  I wanted this song because I am a child of God.  The opening prayer was by Christine Scott who used to be my teacher.  Then Uncle Steve gave a talk about faith, repentance and baptism, and then Daddy baptised me.  It felt amazing.  I was excited to become perfect but I was scared that I would get water in my eyes.  When I went under the water it didn’t get in my eyes and it felt amazing.  I felt really clean.  I got changed into my other dress and then we went back into the chapel.

Mummy gave a talk about the Holy Ghost.  We have protection in our backpack, and we can take our torch or map out when we need it.  We always have the Holy Ghost with us when we need to use it.  Then Daddy gave me the gift of the Holy Ghost.  In the circle with daddy were uncle Kris, Uncle Steve, Tristram, Andrew and Grampi.    It felt really good and amazing.

Emily, Naomi and Liesl sang I love to see the Temple which was really good.   Then Tristram welcomed me into the Ward.  We sang Come Come Ye Saints, which was a song from the pageant, and I love the pageant and I wanted to have a pageant song.  The closing prayer was given by Andrew.

Afterwards we had some food.  I had lots of friends that came including Lily and Adam and Missi, and lots and lots of others too.  Then we went home.

I loved my day because I got the gift of the Holy Ghost

Birthday Tea

Martha reached the grand age of 1 year on wednesday 23rd April. We celebrated with family and friends on 24th. She enjoyed her birthday cake, although cake would be a bit of a misnomer - it was a caterpillar made out of 20 doughnuts and 40 chocolate fingers!

Grandma, Aunty Sam , Uncle Kris, Nathan& Lewis, Andrew, Nicola, Melissa, Jenny and Jamie Browne, and Sue Wyatt joined us for tea, and Martha also received phone calls, emails, cards and gifts from other friends and family in Grimsby, Bristol, Bournemouth and Utah. Thank you to everyone!

Big Day Out

At Christmas Mum and Dad asked Emily, Naomi and Liesl if they would prefer to DO something with either Mum or Dad instead of having a christmas present. Emily chose to go swimming with Dad, and Naomi and Liesl asked if mum would take them to PLay Towers, but they wanted to go together so they could play with each other. We all went at the same time, Dad dropping off mum with the 3 little ones at play towers whilst he took Emily to Cleethorpes Leisure centre. When he picked us up we drove into town and had a family meal at Pizza Hut. We went straight from there to church for our Ward activity - the circus!!
